Chargers vs Broncos

Chargers lose 22 to 10. The defense played pretty well but the offense couldn't move the ball down the field and capatalize on opportunities. With this loss the Chargers playoff hopes are diminishing. The team needs to find a way to pull themselves out of this hole if they have a hope to make the playoffs.

Chargers vs Raiders

Chargers win today 31-28. The game didn't start so good when the Chargers gave up a touchdown on the first possession. Fortunately, they got it back on their first possession. The game was pretty much a shootout from their and fortunately Nick Novack hit a 54 yard field goal which gave the team the lead. They were able to hold on because of a key pick by number one draft pick Jason Varrett. This was a good game. I was expecting a blowout on this one but a win is a win and I can live with that. The only downside to this game is that Brandon Flowers had a upper leg injury I have no idea how long he will be out but hopefully he will be back soon because the team will need him to prolong the winning streak they have going.

Chargers vs Jets

Chargers win a blowout game 31-0. The team looked excellent despite the abundance of injuries. The defense got a lot of pressure on the quarterback and on offense worked the running game very well. The team is going to have to fight through a lot of struggles running on their 4th running backs and center. The mentality to preserver is their which is good but fans have to start to wonder if the team will be effected by these injuries. The team looks good and looks like they could take the division but the team needs to get healthy to compete at the end of the season.  

Chargers vs Bills 1st half

Chargers win 22-10. charger lost danny woodhead. This is a big loss for them but with the mentality that the team has they will be ok they have 3 running backs to take his place and matthews will be coming back soon. The team was stretching the field which was good and they capatalized on their opportunities.

Charger vs Jaguars

Charger win today 33-14. They team looked really well, but it didn't start that way. Due to the Chargers using their 3rd string center. The running game was barely used but due to short passes being used heavily that compensated. The team struggled in the first half but bounced back to take the win. The road will be hard for the Chargers in the back end of the season because they have lost key players. However, the Chargers are a resilient team and have proved it time and again and this is something that they can overcome. The team just needs to create a good game plan and execute it to have a shot a being successful this season.

Chargers vs Seahawks

The Chargers defeat the defending Super Bowl Champions today 30-21.  The team played great today. They got great pressure on Russel Wilson and played solidly on offense. The team went back to what they do best. They held on to the ball for a long time keeping the defense on the field. This was a great showing by the Chargers and should give them great amounts of confidence.

Charger vs Cardinals

The Chargers lose in a heart breaker 17=18. They lost because they merely couldn't finish. They couldn't finish their catches and in the first half they couldn't finish their drives. It all came down to mental mistakes. The Chargers beat themselves on this one. Their are some positive though. The defense is looking better with tighter coverages and getting good amounts of pressure on the quarterback. But the Chargers lost in the end. Next week they need to finish off driv3s especially against the defending Super Bowl Champs.

Chargers vs Cardinals

Chargers won 12-9. This game has me very conflicted. Because it was a field goal battle. On one hand we didn't give up any touchdowns and on the other we didn't score any. The defense played great holding the team out of the end zone but the offense couldn't get in the end zone. The game was very slow paced. However this will not reflect in the regular season because most of the starters didn't even play. This game was useless to the fans but for the coaches it helped look at who will make the squad.

Chargers vs Sehawks

Chargers lose today 41 to 14. This game was an embarrassment to the Chargers organization. The team couldn't cover for their life. The running quarterbacks also really hurt them they need to figure out a scheme to contain the quarterback. This was not a good showing and the Chargers need to fix it before they play them in the regular season

Chargers vs Cowboys

Chargers win today 27 to 7. The team looked good. The running game was heavily used and worked effectively. Except when Ryan Matthews fumbled at the goal line. He needs to hold on to the ball before his old habits start up again this season. The team is hard to evaluate at the moment because key secondary players, Brandon Flowers and Jason Varett did not play and I can't wait for them to play. The team looked good and got to a good start. Hopefully, the team can build on this and find the players they need to.

Fanfest

Yesterday was the annual fanfest. The team was looking good and the defense looks up to par. They were moving fast and getting turnovers. The team was going half speed so it would be hard to really put a meter on how they are doing. The team however, looked good and look ready for the season.

Offseason

The offseason of the Chargers was very productive. They got players that will help them in the areas they were struggling last year. The teams secondary was dismal and this off season the team looked into improving that with their first round pick. They improved on the line for the future. The lineman are getting old and the Chargers looked to find players who would help them in the future. Their third round pick helped them achieve that, The lineup has dynamically improved and the team is looking good. If the team stays healthy the team can get farther than they did last year.
